    IFAN is currently advising and supporting a range of research in to food poverty and food aid,
    including:

    A review of food poverty in Guildford Borough

    IFAN Chair of Trustees, Professor Jon May, is currently advising Guildford Borough Council on its review of food poverty, food aid, and future possible responses to food poverty in Guildford borough.

    A review of food bank use in Brent

    IFAN Trustee, Mohammed Mamdani of SUFRA, is pleased to be able to join colleagues from Child Poverty Action Group, Trade Union Congress, the Trussell Trust, and West London Business as a representative on a Task and Finish Group investigating food bank use in Brent. The group is investigating the triggers for food bank use in the Borough, and will make recommendations for policy and practice to Brent Council’s Resources and Public Realm Scrutiny Committee.

    Supporting academic research

    We are also continuing to support academic research proposals with a focus on food aid and food poverty. Further details will be added as and when funding is secured.
