
Safeguarding
It's essential that any organisation helping vulnerable people has a clear safeguarding policy in place that’s understood by all staff and volunteers. Safeguarding protects people’s health, wellbeing, and rights helping people to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. Safeguarding is a collective responsibility that applies to everyone who works with or comes into contact with vulnerable people, including children, young people, and adults.

Safeguarding Training
Many councils offer free safeguarding training (usually separately run by children’s services and adult social care). It is well worth contacting your local council and seeing what’s available. In addition to this, there are some national resources:
