These are step-by-step guides to help people struggling to afford food and support workers to identify 'cash first' or income-focused local support.
If you've aren't able to find cash first help, you can search for an IFAN food aid provider, a Trussell food bank, a Salvation Army venue, or a Your Local Pantry. You may need a referral to a food bank from a local agency such as your local Citizens Advice, GP, school (food banks requiring referrals usually list these agencies on their websites). Local authorities usually list local food banks and other food aid providers on the cost-of-living support pages of their websites.
For additional information on local food support options, you could email foodsupport@foodaidnetwork.org.uk ensuring that you have let us know the area you are based in. Please note this is not an emergency service.
IFAN is not able to issue vouchers for/referrals to food banks if they are required. We aren't able to arrange food deliveries ourselves (some individual food banks are able to deliver parcels if needed). IFAN is also not able to provide grants or shopping vouchers or gift cards.
If you'd like to share feedback on how you've used the 'Worrying About Money?' leaflet in your area we'd be glad to hear from you. Please use the form below.
